The Buena Vista Cigar Club is a bar and cigar store that is open to the public and allows smoking inside. The fact that you can smoke both cigarettes and cigars at the bar makes the Buena Vista a complete rarity for a public establishment in Los Angeles County. They have an enormous selection of cigars and scotch whiskey and the place is decorated like a hunting lodge from the 40s (down to the real Remington 1100 shotgun on the wall).
The atmosphere here is intimate and warm, with low lighting, comfortable seating, attractive, old-style decor, and a low noise level that encourages good conversation. Rigo, the owner, is friendly and helpful -- the selection of cigars and liquor is fantastic, and Rigo is knowledgeable and passionate on the subjects.
